Lactic Acid is found in milk, but more importantly in muscle tissue after exercise during a process called anaerobic respiration. Lactic acid is an organic compound with the formula CH₃CHCO₂H. In its solid state, it is white and water-soluble. In its liquid state, it is clear. It is produced both naturally and synthetically. Lactic Acid (CH3CHOHCOOH) is slightly weaker than Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) but it is naturally produced in nearly all living life.
Through anaerobic respiration, the body’s muscle is torn and disintegrated by naturally produced Lactic Acid, resulting in soreness after strenuous physical activity. The body then regenerates the muscle during down time, which causes an overall growth of muscle mass. When this same physiological concept is applied to a chemical peel on the face, it’s no surprise that the natural efficacy of Lactic Acid will exfoliate the epidermis and promote the growth of healthy, full and firm skin. Use Lactic Acid chemical peels to treat the following:
Lactic Acid Peels contain natural humectants, which moisturize the skin as the acid exfoliates it. This makes the peel less irritating to the skin than other peels. At the end of the day, Lactic Acid is made naturally by the body and fights sun damage, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, age spots, actinic keratosis, brown spots and more.
Results will show after only one to two cycles. Using our Complete Accessory Kit or the Pro Accessory Kit will help you heal faster and expedite the natural regeneration of healthy skin in an even and non-irritating way.

Like Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid loosens the skin and promotes the natural epidermal production of collagen and elastin. It works on the outer layer of the skin, making it a relatively light and less irritating peel. Still, it removes wrinkles and fine lines in the skin after first use.
Cycles: Lactic Acid peels are most effective when used regularly. Most people conduct 10 to 15 cycles of Lactic Acid peels before working up into a monthly or bi-weekly regiment or before using higher concentrations of the acid. Results are noticeable after one session of using Lactic Acid peels, while gradual improvements in skin texture, look and feel will surface over time.
Side Effects:R&D has surfaced a temporary itching and burning sensation, heightened skin sensitivity, flaking, light frosting, redness, swelling, and inflammation. Aggressive high SPF sunscreen use is crucial for post-peel comfort and skin safety.
Storage Instructions: Store the Lactic Acid in a cool, dry, dark area far from sun light as the sun will oxidize the solution, rendering it damaged.
